Another year comes to an end...

I for one can't believe that 2011 is almost over and 2012 is about to begin!  Having time off for the Holidays has been great! I was able to spend time with my family, but I was also able to help capture memories for another family that came together for the holidays!

I met up with a great family yesterday at one of their houses.  We were able to get some indoor and outdoor pictures.  The backyard is wooded which made a wonderful background!  Below are a few of my favorites!
Here's 4 of the kids, they didn't want their pictures because that meant no more "electronics" to play with...so I had them play with them for a picture!

Nothing like some love from a Daddy!

Such a proud Grandma and Grandpa!

The sisters

The whole family together - This turned out so great since the kids were ready to be done with pictures!

Overall it was a wonderful experience with this family! I hope that they enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!  Now we are looking forward to 2012 and all the new experiences it will bring us!  We look forward to capturing more memories for many families (some we've already worked with and hopefully many new)!  Thank you to all of our lovely clients for a great 2011 and an even better (we hope) 2012!!   HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sunshine and a Baby Belly

So excited that although a maternity session was cancelled, it was able to be rescheduled for today!  It was so gorgeous outside and not nearly as cold as it could have been for being December!  I was lucky enough to get pictures for a friend that I work with and her growing family!  She already has a daughter and her second one is due in a few weeks!  Her and her husband are VERY excited to have this lovely new bundle of joy join their little family!  Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Glad it turned out to be such a nice day!  Can't wait for them to see the pictures from today.  Next week is Christmas, I can't believe it's here already! If you want pictures between now and New Year's please let us know as soon as you can as our time is very limited with visiting family out of town.  Thank you to all you wonderful clients that have made this year amazing!  We can't wait to make 2012 even better and our business to grow even more!  Don't forget to get our name out there!

Check this out

So the weekend was a little too cold to get the Maternity Session, but don't worry, it's rescheduled for later this week!  I can't wait to get out and get pictures for this growing family.

I have recently been trying to get more things for this growing business and I ran across this company that is having a great giveaway leading up to Christmas.  Just thought I'd share.

Crazy Impromtu Session

Yesterday our oldest had a friend come over.  I had recently been wanting to try out some new poses and a new location (I've done 1 shoot there, but had some ideas for older kids).  So, I took the 2 girls, in their dresses (1 in heels, the other in tennis shoes) out to the park.  I have always enjoyed pictures on railroad tracks and graffitied walls.  This was a great place because with a little climbing we got to railroad tracks and the bridge the railroad tracks goes over has graffiti on it!  After this, on our way back home, we stopped at a park and got some pictures there also.  Here is a little peek at some of the girls favorite pictures.

I can't wait to get out and get more shoots at this park, it was so much fun and the girls were willing to try out some of my crazy ideas!  Just have to love the impromtu sessions!  Looking forward to a Maternity Session next weekend!

Thanksgiving and Families

We headed out of town for Thanksgiving and while we were out of town, we were able to take pictures for a friend of mine from high school!  She has been married for a few years and has a little boy who's 2 years old.  She scheduled the session for a time of day that he is usually really good, of course he would rather run around than get his picture taken, but luckily we were able to get some really good pictures!
Below are some pictures from the session.

These were some of our favorites from the session!  We can't wait for the family to see the rest!  Hurry to schedule your session, we have limited availability left for December!

Christmas Mini-Sessions

As promised...here is a preview of the Christmas Mini-Sessions last weekend...

The families were a pleasure to take pictures of.  I can't wait to get more Christmas Sessions scheduled!  A great BIG Thank You to Meetup.com and Shutterfly for sponsoring a Meetup for Dayton Mamas!  I hope the families like the pictures and are able to get some great cards for Christmas!

We will be heading to Toledo for Thanksgiving this year to spend it with Jen's family.  If you are in that area and would like us to get pictures for you, please contact us so we can schedule a time!!  Thank you!

Getting in the Holiday Spirit

Saturday was a VERY busy day!  It started out a bit chilly and we were out at Hills and Dales MetroPark taking pictures for 2 beautiful girls who are now Seniors in High School!  Despite the cold weather, they did a great job and we were able to get some awesome pictures!

Below is a sample of some of the pictures.

After being cold outside, we spent the rest of the day inside at our studio taking pictures for 6, yes 6 different families for Christmas!!  It was a a bit rough getting kids to focus for the pictures,  but we were able to get some great family and kid pictures!  I'll post a preview of those later!

Last weekend of October

There were two wonderful shoots yesterday with two great families!  The first was for a mother and her three children whose husband has been deployed since their youngest was 5 months old!  She wanted to get some pictures to be able to send to him as a surprise!  Below are some from that session at Eastwood MetroPark, which I had never shot at before, but I just love the different bridges that the park offers and all the great fall colors!

The second session was for our recent contest winner.  She hasn't had any family photos since her youngest was born and the oldest always hated getting her picture taken, so it was great that they all did an awesome job and we got some really cute pictures at Cox Arboretum.  Below are some from that session.

Next weekend, we have a Senior Portrait Session scheduled for 2 High School Seniors!  Then we will be in our studio for Christmas Mini-Sessions the rest of the weekend!!  Hurry and schedule yours!

Gorgeous Weekend

It was a great weekend.  We had the pleasure of taking photos for a beautiful little girl, who's now 1!  She did great.  Although, when we took her outside to get pictures in the leaves, she did freak out a little, but luckily it didn't last long and we were able to great some great shots of her out in the leaves as well as inside in our studio!
Below are some of our favorites...

Now we look forward to this coming weekend to get some pictures for 2 great families!
One is a surprise for their husband who is currently deployed!  I can't wait to help this Wife and Mother give her husband a wonderful surprise of pictures of her and their children!
The other family hasn't had family pictures in a really long time since one child is afraid of going to get pictures taken!  Hopefully we'll calm the nerves and get some awesome pictures for them!

Windy Saturday

This morning started off chilly and it's been windy all day, but that didn't stop us from getting out and having TWO great photo shoots!  First I headed to Carriage Hill to take some amazing pictures of a friend's two boys.  They started out cold, but half-way through we had a break through and the boys did great the rest of the shoot!  Below are some samples of the shots I was able to get.

I just love the pictures, they did such a great job even with it being chilly and windy out!

Later in the day, I made my way down to Cox Arboretum to take some pictures of another lovely family.  This session went amazingly too even with the wind and lots of people around!  Below are a few of my favorites from that session.

Love the surprised look on his face!

She was having so much fun playing with the flower!

After 2 great sessions today, I'm really looking forward to another great session tomorrow!  I get to capture an amazing part of a mother's life!  I hope tomorrow is as pretty as today for the Maternity Session!

Our weekend 10/7-10/9

This past weekend, we were lucky enough to have some of our oldest daughters friends over.  These girls had asked us to take pictures of them together, so we obliged!  Below are some of our personal favorites from the session with the girls!  They were all such great sports and loved getting their pictures taken (even while they waited for their turn).

All these pictures were taken out at Carriage Hill.  The girls had a blast and didn't complain at all that it took time to get all the great pictures, they didn't want to stop, but it was time for dinner, so we had to cut the session off!

Hopefully this coming weekend will be just as nice for the shoots we have scheduled!
